This (unpaid) position has 21 hrs/ week for accommodation (only). No WIFI/TV. Village (countryside)and no nearby nightlife. You save approximately 40+ Euros/day for a hostel.
For 21 hours of help weekly, for a bed in a shared dorm and use of the facilities (bathroom, kitchen, entertainment equipment), a bicycle with a separate deposit (in case it gets stolen or needs parts) and fixed return. Arrive earliest on Monday through Wednesday.

Programmdetails

Organizing better order in many items for reconstruction for this summer. Taking down old roof materials and fixing things, cleaning items for the flea market or reorganizing reconstruction materials that are cluttering my construction site, and finally maybe taking some photos and making them available for sales. Cleaning the very detailed common living area before leaving again doesn't count towards the hourly task (not a business Airbnb or hotel mama 😁visitors please - had enough of those). Even if not a city, the area can be explored during the stay, but it is not suitable for those who like partying. I can't provide all the people need like hygiene articles and paper, nor food, but share with you occasionally, prepare sometimes a meal, coffee or another treat for us when we are free of work. During your stay, you also need to maintain your living area and keep it clean. I take it seriously and will be checking on the guesthouse as l had before bad experiences regarding the agreement on the rules. Too much got destroyed, and as the helpers are leaving, l don't want to stay back with damages and costs. Be neat and clean with pleasure. I can't tolerate pretenders. Sorry, this folks who aren't really helpers but opportunity seekers can go to youth hostels and chill there.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

Trying to match my work hours and your needs we would be working mostly during the week! 3 or 4 days for 4.5 to 6 hrs work upon given tasks until completed the 21 hours of work. No breaks during work as the hours are short, but there is a lot of free time before or afterward. The hours are not regular as I have to adapt them to other scheduled tasks, but l look that after the hours are done people have block of 3 or 4 days free time so they could take longer trips as from Basel all over the central Europe are possible and attractive. Arrival only late Sunday or Monday till Wednesday as l work on weekends and am away.

Regeln

No smoking anywhere inside, no alcohol or
drugs, no visitors.
Be clean + orderly, saving energy (no wasting energy). You need to buy your food and any other supply for yourself like soap, toilet paper, or whatever you need. I provide Sheets for two weeks and the change is only if you stay 4 weeks. A washing machine is available at the shopping mall as mine is broken. You can use the kitchen to prepare own food from 06:00 till 22:30 and leave it cleaned.

Couples are very welcome but can't expect total privacy unless we agree on a longer stay and I see the couple being a diligent helper. In that case, we can talk about your needs and see how we work it out regarding hours. Sometimes apartment can also be rented for 50 Euro per day for two people. Not rented to singles. Long-term is also possible if you can pay in advance.
