This is a family run volunteer house in Puerto Viejo dedicated to environmental and social programs, located in the jungle just 5min away from the beach. Support our local team with coordination of arrivals and welcoming new visitors, help with questions and support on daily activities, coordinate general cleaning, kitchen duties and weekly guest activities. Programmdetails

You’ll share a room and bathroom with other volunteers. Breakfast is included in your stay and we can accommodate alimentary meal plans upon request (gluten free with extra cost). We are located in the jungle just 900m from Playa Negra, a short 10min bike ride from Cahuita We have a social, yet quiet and private atmosphere, no parties. Our facilities include a large open air dining area and soon a yoga deck where you also can relax in a hammock. There are generally 10-15 young volunteers staying with us at time plus our assistants like you (max of 4 ) helping mostly with the sea turtle conservation program, beach cleanups and

Aktivitäten & Schichten

We'd expect you to support us between 4-6 hours per day 4-5 days a week. This might include the weekend as many guests leave Saturdays and arrive Sundays. You’ll have kitchen shift to help prepare breakfast) and help us to maintain the common areas clean and tidy. General office help should be no problem for you, e.g., ordering, receiving supplies, etc. You will have ample opportunity to practice your Spanish. For those staying longer, you can take Spanish classes at our school when there is space. We have weekly yoga or Latin dance classes free of charge. Also we appreciate help with our plastic free campaign or our environmental after school club in Puerto Viejo, social media or other talents you might have. There is lots to explore in the surrounding area as well. Cahuita offers surfing, wildlife, music, local markets, and plenty of great restaurants.

We are looking for eco-conscious people to support our projects and therefor we will select participants that value nature and a healthy life style and can commit to a longer period of time. We welcome volunteers that are friendly, flexible and independent - willing to support us and going the extra mile.
