Do you like children? This program is made for you.
Assist the local teachers in teaching children from 3 to 6 years old in the Nursery School of PDS. You can teach different subjects (maths, English, Arabic, sport, art...).
Enjoy indoor and outdoor activities to develop the creativity of the local children.
Take care of the children : help them to sleep, prepare the food for them...
You can go to school from 7am to 12pm.

5 Stunden Hilfe pro Tag

Kinderbetreuung: Betreuung von Kindern, mit ihnen spielen und Zeit verbringen.

Kunst: Hilfe beim Malen, Graffiti, Bildhauerei oder Zeichnen.

Sportunterricht: Unterrichten oder Unterstützen des Hosts, der Gäste oder lokaler Gemeinschaften beim Sport oder körperlichen Aktivitäten.

Sprachunterricht: Unterrichte eine Sprache für den Host, Gäste oder lokale Gemeinschaften.

Zusätzliche Gebühr erforderlich

Betrag: € 200 Pro Woche

Gebühr bezahlt für: Vorteile für Reisende, Materialien für Freiwilligenaktivitäten und Spende an das Projekt

Beschreibung: Participants are expected to pay participation fees of 200 euro It covers expanses for: - Airport/seaport pickups and drop-off - Accommodation (rent, water and electricity) - Food (3 meals per day) - General running cost of the projects It does NOT cover: - Medical/health services - All types of insurances - Relevant visas or permits - Pocket money, free/leisure activities and other personal expenses.

Programmdetails

We expect children lovers of course! People with educational skills and creativity.
The volunteers will be involved in some of the activities below or all of them, depending on their skills and interests, the duration of their stay and their energy. This will be the topic of a further discussion.
The PDS team will be with them to supervise and make the exchange with the teachers and the students easier.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring information, equipment and materials from their home country. They can also participate in buying the necessary equipment and materials in Zanzibar to help the development of the school. It’s an opportunity for them to visit local markets of Zanzibar and to be really involved in the school's life.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

- Assist the local teachers in delivering some subjects like maths (numbers) or languages (English & Arabic), creative and sport activities.
- Propose new and innovative educational tools, teaching resources and methods.
- Help to establish a Primary School.
- Help in the construction of the school.
- Share your home games and participate to local games which stimulate learning and creativity.
- Organize physical activities: action jumping, football, netball etc…
- Organize a healthy eating and nutrition program.
- Organize workshops with the kids about different subjects: gardening, environment, nutrition, science...

Regeln

- Wearing long and appropriate clothes in order to respect the culture and religion of Zanzibar : long pants at least up to the knees, T-shirt which covers shoulders and stomach.
- It is forbidden to sleep outside of PDS accomodation during the mission. The volunteers must come back to PDS House every day before midnight (including week-ends).
- It is forbidden to bring or drink alcohol within the PDS House and to drink alcohol in front of locals in PDS surroundings.
- Smoking at the designated location in PDS House or in isolated places.
