Help in a Hostel in Taormina

It was a nice experience! Taormina is a stunning place, the team was very nice, I had a good time with Leticia and Pervina! Also Francesco is always available to help. We had to move houses and it was a bit confusing but after talking with them it was solved in the best way for both parts. I just want to give an advice that Taormina is a charming but small town, there's not much to do in the night and during the day there's restaurants and the beach, and is pretty much this, there's some activities in some cities around tough.

The hostel is a wonderful place to stay as a guest, as well as a volunteer. First off, Taormina and Sicily in general is a beautiful place! Second off, the hostel is very central, with a huge welcoming terrace with a nice view right over Taormina, the ancient theatre and the sea. The working hours are fair (4 hours a day) and flexible. The hosts Francesco and Pervina were such nice and welcoming people, who showed me around a lot and always checked in if everything was alright! I'm very thankful to them, even if I had to cut my volunteer experience short by 2 weeks :( I'll come back!!

Being at the hostel was pleasant. There's some mesmerizing places to explore whether in the city itself or nearby. I met travellers from other countries, especially Latinx people, so I could practice my Spanish. The other volunteers were friendly and we would do lots of activities together. Work was fair and not heavy. The only con of my experience was how outdated their bookings and check-in system was (they do everything manually and that sometimes led to overbooking and guests being placed in the volunteers' room because there was nowhere else to put them, which was a bit annoying)

Hostel Toarmina fue una buena experiencia, el Hostel es pequeño, conoces muchas personas de diferentes países, las tareas son sencillas y la cantidad de horas es lo adecuado. El alojamiento de los voluntarios debería ser en un lugar distinto del hostel, en mi caso particular estuve casi todo el voluntariado viviendo en el Hostel y al último me dieron la opción de cambiarme a una casa que quedaba cerca, talvez hubiera sido mejor desde el principio. La ciudad de Toarmina es pequeña por lo que con 2 semanas es suficiente para conocerla, es muy hermosa y tiene lugares increíbles 🥰👍

Fue una hermosa experiencia, tanto Pervi como Francesco fueron muy buenos anfitriones, muy atentos a las necesidades del staff, nos hicieron sentir en casa. Se formó un buen equipo de trabajo, que se convirtió en una familia. Recomiendo esta experiencia!

I loved my experience in this hostel! The staff warmly welcomed already on the first night and since then it already felt like home! Francesco and Pervina do everything within their reach to make you feel comfortable and have a great time! The 4 hours working schedule is totally respected and we had some flexibility among the other volunteers so that we could travel around Sicily sometimes! The location is simply amazing! best balcony view ever and right in the centre of Taormina! Totally recommend it and looking forward to being back! thank you Pervi, Francesco and all the amazing volunteers

Taormina is a wonderful place where spend your time I had collaborate whit the staff; Pervi , Francesco, Grazie they are great people always willing to help you if you have any doubts . The task are not hard and the work is active but i like because the time goes by . I enjoyed of my time free for explore new place around , but also i had shared my time with both person ; voluntary and guest this had contribute at my personal growth and i'm I'll always be grateful for this amazing experience and the new friends we have meet in our route of life . Thanks All !! i already miss

Pervi,Fran, todo el staff son increíbles, están siempre pendiente de tus necesidades y son muy flexibles, es increíble como te relacionas con gente de todo el mundo y aprendes mucho de ellos, recomiendo este lugar 110%.

I spend 6 weeks working in the hostel together with the hosts Pervina and Francesco. Who are great hosts, I had an amazing time! They were very friendly and take into consideration your personal skills or preferences with regards to the work :) Morning shifts in the hostel are mainly cleaning, afternoon shifts reception work. It is no hard work, 4 hours a day. When I worked there we were 5 worldpackers in total, which was a lot of fun! Highly recommended!
