Das Erlebnis

We are a family looking for a friendly hand on daily tasks as cleaning, cooking, washing dishes, painting, building something and gardening. We work in our own home artisan bakery and sell our products downtown. We make rustic organic bread of natural fermentation, functional cakes, artisan pizzas, cookies... We have a cultural pub house we open once in a while with good music and art expositions. You will sleep in a TENT or in a WV Kombi.

Malen & Dekorieren: Hilfe beim Streichen oder Dekorieren der Einrichtung.

Küchenhilfe: Hilfe bei der Zubereitung, Fertigstellung und dem Servieren von Mahlzeiten.

Reinigung: Hilfe bei der Reinigung von Küche, Schlafzimmern, Badezimmern und Gemeinschaftsbereichen.

Bauen & Reparieren: Hilf bei verschiedenen Reparatur- oder Bauarbeiten.

Camping: Du wirst in einem Zelt auf einem Campingplatz schlafen.

Frühstück: Du hast Anspruch auf ein kostenloses Frühstück an jedem Tag deines Aufenthalts.

This IS a volunteering project we ALL make part of and we will treat you as family here in our HOME-BAKERY. We are in this world to help each other and we love this kind of exchange.

The volunteer needs to be PROACTIVE and show real interest on helping and sharing life... We don't like people standing in the middle of the way "just wondering" during their volunteering time. We will try always to be honest and objective in communicating and assigning tasks but we'll be always open to new ideas and REAL actions.

We are located in Praia de Itapeva, Torres - Rio Grande do Sul. A wonderful place for lovers of the sea, nature and extreme sports. We are very close to a beach known for its natural beauty (Praia da Guarita), and many other beaches. In addition you can enjoy or better know a type of healthy and functional bakery. Inclusive on your free time you can learn how to make our breads and cakes and take it to your life!

Aktivitäten & Schichten

The work is 5 hours a day/5 days a week.
Usually our schedule is very flexible, specially on summer.

Basically it is helpings us on daily tasks such as cleaning the bakery, cooking for the family and cleaning the kitchen after meals ;o), helping on our bakery, receptioning and serving clients, gardening and cleaning in general, playing with the kids, building or painting something in the yard, etc...

We need someone responsable, respectful and PROACTIVE to help keeping the house clean and tidy. You have to like children and animals. If you choose to volunteer with us, you should keep in mind that the little ones require a lot of love, playfulness and patience.

REGRAS DA CASA! House rules!

MANTER OS AMBIENTES LIMPOS, PRINCIPALMENTE O BANHEIRO, A COZINHA, E O LOCAL ONDE VOCÊ DORME E CONVIVE, SÃO REQUISITOS BÁSICOS PARA NOSSA BOA CONVIVÊNCIA. Keeping environments clean, especially the bathroom, kitchen, and sleeping area, is a basic requirement for good coexistence.

Tarefas domésticas e familiares diárias, como lavar a louça, ajudar a preparar algumas refeições, limpar e organizar a cozinha, e ser gentil com as crianças, não fazem parte do trabalho voluntário: É UMA REGRA DA CASA!

The place where the volunteer sleeps and the toilet used by him or her must stay CLEAN and organized during the days of the volunteering and shall be cleaned on the same day of departure, right BEFORE LEAVING.

DRUGS AND ALCOHOL ABUSE ARE FORBIDEN.

ABOUT THE FOOD:
We only offer a simple breakfast, even on your days off. We cannot afford daily meals like lunch and dinner. So here, meals are prepared collaboratively and shared as part of a family routine. In this case, we will go to the market together and split the expenses so we can eat together, like a big family. Without embarrassment and with great generosity.
We love cooking together and sharing meals, especially when a talented chef from another region shows up! P.S.: We love vegetarian and vegan food, but we eat everything.
If we decide to eat out, you will have to pay your share of the food and drinks.
If you decide that there is any food of yours that you do not wish to share, please leave it in your dormitory, out of reach and sight of the children, as it is quite frustrating for us as parents to have to explain that sometimes there are volunteers who do not like or are not polite to share their things.
