El trabajo que realizan por enseñar a las niñas sobre tecnología , inglés y confección es realmente maravilloso porque crea oportunidades laborales para su futuro , tanto la casa como la escuela son muy agradables , la casa queda a 5 minutos caminando de la escuela y la playa a solo 3 km es realmente hermosa y vale la pena visitarla . Considero que el voluntario debe ser tenido en cuenta para más actividades y desarrollar un cronograma definido para el dado que en mi caso tuve mucho tiempo libre y siempre era yo la que buscaba la iniciativa para realizar alguna actividad con las niñas .

My best advice for you is "Don't stay with your host". I believe that WEEDO is doing a noble deed in regard of improving the lives of young women. The Tanzanian government doesn't care for the education of young generations. Only elementary and secondary schools are free. Also, education is not obligatory. WEEDO is helping in transforming the lives of young women who couldn't make it. the the organization prepares them to join the workforce and helps them in finding internships.

I could have a very rewarding time here as a volunteer. Because the period when I joined WEEDO was one of their busiest seasons. In addition to that, unfortunately, we had blackouts and unstable Wifi many times due to the historic drought. These challenging situations made us collaborate more productively. WEEDO staff provided directions precisely and simply. Volunteers were asked to do more voluntarily. As a result, we could da pretty productive job building up good relationships. I hope we collaborate again for WEEDO and the users.

My experience was simply amazing. I have instantly like home away from home. Everyone at WEEDO has always been kind, friendly and willing to help. I have had a wonderful experience with each person I have met. I have created amazing memories that won't ever fade away. I highly recommend it. Trust me, you won't regret!

WEEDO is a beautiful project with young girls from Tanzania who are part of a very challenging environment. Me and my girlfriend stayed there for 2 weeks helping with their social media and content creation. It was an unique experience and we had a great time with the girls and also with all the team, who are incredible people. PROS - They really live their purpose and care for the girls - They are extremely open to new ideas and feedback - The location is awesome (3km from the beach). CONS - They could have a bit more structure to the girls, making sure they are always on class.

I've had such a great time in Weedo. It's been really enriching teaching the girls, and also learning from them. I would recommend this experience to everybody who wants to get culturally involved, because the project has true impact in the community. I cannot do less than appreciate the work the staff is doing, it is something very valuable. I've felt there like home and I'm looking forward to coming back one day.

Rehema es una increíble mujer, que ha formado WEEDO, para mi fue una experiencia increíble, poder aportar en este hermoso proyecto que trabaja para empoderar mujeres, además tuve la libertad de poder crear mis propias clases y enseñar lo que yo sé, nutrición y salud. La casa donde me quedé esta al lado del colegio, pero ambos están un poco alejados del centro de Dar es Salaam. Si necesitas algo es importante la comunicación, Rehema siempre esta abierta a escuchar, por lo que no esperes el último día. La única dificultad fue que las niñas no hablan tanto inglés,pero están aprendiendo ;)

WEEDO was one of the most organized volunteers I did in Africa. The team is very professional and willing to receive new ideas that transform the lives of the girls at the school. My experience at Weedo and living with Rehema was incredible. I got to meet so many beautiful, young and strong girls that are eager to learn. They showed me what it is like to live in Tanzania and to be a part of their culture. Every girl that I met is searching for a better future and being a part of that was amazing. I recommend this volunteering experience to anyone, especially when it is your first time. The people are kind and so helpful. Thank you Rehema and all other Weedo girls!

Rehema is an amazing woman and host, she is kind, open-minded, very respectful and smart. She works hard to provide a brighter future for the girls of her the the organization is genuinely happy when there is a new opportunity for these girls to improve themselves and be actors of the future. I had the most wonderful time teaching English to these girls, we played, laughed, and learned from each other. I felt a true connection with them, they are so special! Working with an NGO such as WEEDO is serious, but it is also so humanly enriching. This first volunteering made me grow; I am so grateful!
