Das Erlebnis

Eco Caminhos is an eco farm in Brazil where we work with bioconstruction, organic farming, and permaculture. We offer volunteers the chance to become a part of our project and live in our national and international community, while enjoying nature and ecotourism activities. Volunteering at Eco Caminhos is an excellent way to gain practical skills and experience in eco-farming, learn Portuguese from a native speaker, and explore nature.

24 Stunden Hilfe pro Woche

Bauen & Reparieren: Hilf bei verschiedenen Reparatur- oder Bauarbeiten.

Gebühr bezahlt für: Vorteile für Reisende

Beschreibung: The longer you stay, the lower the weekly fee becomes. The weekly contribution includes accommodation, Wi-Fi, basic grocery provisions, five prepared meals per week, training, and access to one or two guided tours and workshops (depending on availability). Overall, the per-week fee decreases for longer stays, making extended experiences more affordable while allowing deeper learning and integration into the project.

Programmdetails

Short-term volunteers will work approximately 24 hours 3 days a week. Tuesdays and Thursdays are off. Volunteers can choose between bioconstruction and organic farming. After your work day and on your weekends, you are free to do as you please. Many of our volunteers use their weekends to explore Nova Friburgo or Rio de Janeiro.

Once a week the people of Eco Caminhos unite in the evening to socialize. During these volunteer nights we usually cook together or make a fire outside, but all suggestions are welcome. What matters is that we spend time together.

Airport Transfer not included: To guarantee your safe and comfortable arrival our trusted driver from Nova Friburgo, can pick you and leave you at the Eco Caminhos doorstep. We can also arrange for you to be dropped off at a specific location on your day of departure. But, you can also come by yourself, we help you giving instructions

Still a typical work day schedule always looks something like:

6:00 AM - Wake up and breakfast
7:00 AM - Work in Bioconstruction, Organic Farming or Agroforestry
9:30 AM - Coffee Break
9:45 AM - Work in Bioconstruction, Organic Farming or Agroforestry
12:00 PM - Lunch & Break
13:00 PM - Work in Bioconstruction, Organic Farming or Agroforestry
16:00 PM - Finish work and head back to volunteer house
17:00 PM - Portuguese or English lesson with native speaker
19:00 PM - Dinner
20:00 PM - Chilling out, Game Nights, Movie Nights and Bonfires

people are not allowed to drink alcohol at the farm. Smoking is allowed in specific areas.
