Programmdetails

Volunteers are required to train horses or just moving them, depending on their riding level. There are work for non riders as well. Such as caring animals, helping with fences, cleaning forests, etc. Owner is not always present. a minimum stay of four weeks is desired but may consider a shorter stay for experienced horse riders. Basic Spanish is required.


Aktivitäten & Schichten

Usually the activities may last 3 - 5 hours so starting early mean that the afternoon is good for leisure or simply resting. Town is 15 minutes away. Volunteer work may consist mainly in training, handling and riding horses, helping feeding the animals, clearing forests (with machete), taking care of horses, cattle, harvest and general farm work. Since we grow sport horses, volunteers must have skills for this sport. We offer the opportunity to stay in an authentic farm in the country side of about 400 hectares (1000 acres) with mountains small river, lakes
Enjoy learning some Spanish, learning how is life like in the countryside, learning how to handle horses in liberty. mating, taking care of foals. Horseback riding, one guided visit to lake Cui-Cocha (for experienced riders only), learning about milk production, cultural exchange with locals, understanding 100% Indian families, etc.


Regeln

Volunteers must be clean (shower every day) keeping facilities clean as well as horse tack. Smoking is allowed but we don't like it. Smokers please smoke only outside please.A beautiful lodge with basic facilities and a decent bathroom is offered. People who like horses may see and experience the way we handle horses, domestication, nursing, mating, etc. Cattle management and milking, artificial insemination, breeding. trekking, agriculture.
