The role is to support and advise target partners (local community and community leaders) in integrating and implementing inclusive education practices for all children and ensuring accessibility of quality education for all girls at age, who have been excluded from the schooling for different reasons. With main focus on vulnerability and disability issues according to the needs of students, with emphasis on numeracy and literacy.

18 Stunden Hilfe pro Woche

Kinderbetreuung: Betreuung von Kindern, mit ihnen spielen und Zeit verbringen.

Programmdetails

As a volunteer, you can train teachers in inclusive education practices (prepare and hold workshops/lectures for the teachers and parents), assist with the daily teachings, organize activities that you feel would benefit the children, have your own classroom of children requiring extra attention, or you can even help to strengthen the local teachers’ ability by working with them.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

Educating our children is one of the main goals and priorities, though we consider education in a holistic manner that transcends the boundaries of the typical classroom. We welcome your ideas to helping these children grow and become prepared for the world.

Regeln

Special interest in non-profit sector development and willingness to work and live in a rural remote area.

Culturally in Uganda, everyone needs to wear fairly smart and decent clothes including causal wear.
Men: Shorts or long trousers, t-shirts or shits with sleeves, sneakers or regular shoes.
Women: Dresses or skirts below the knees, modest tops with shoulders and abdomen covered. The ladies may also wear trousers and vests, but these should keep thighs, waist and shoulder covered.
Note: Please bring with you walking and trekking shoes, our activities involves visiting homes in hard-to reach mountain areas.

PARC has zero tolerance policy on abuse and exploitation of vulnerable people. We expect all our employees/volunteers to ensure protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults from harm.
