The hostel located in a busy city of Catania, is a place where travellers find themselves like at home. The vibe, the atmosphere and the friendliness of the place and its people make the hostel one of the best ones I've been too. Work is simple and not overwhelming. Everyone knows what their responsibilities are and schedules are flexible. Perfect for the ones who want to explore the island more. I recommend this place cause it really gives an experience of being part of an intercultural family, which hangs out together and eats delicious Italian food.

Alicja stayed with us for one month and she brought all the joy to the hostel with her energy and smile. She was a professional about her tasks, easy going in her interactions with the guests and other volunteers, chatty as someone knows what she is talking about, and a responsible person. I hoped a volunteer like her has stayed more so it was hard to say goodbye but the door of urbanpop is always open for her.

I had a wonderful experience the hostel was very clean and organized! The other volunteers and salvo were very kind and it was a very fun and nice environment, I highly recommend this experience!I met so many people and got to see so many places and the work was not hard.

Salvo and the team were amazing, they made my experience worthwhile and the tasks were as expected. This place will truly feel like family if you stay long enough. Additionally, Salvo is extremely knowledgeable about the area and will give you any tips you need to explore. The tasks included cleaning, laundry, interacting with guests, working the reception and doing check ins.

It was a wonderful experience, I stayed 25 days. The hostel has a lot of volunteers and everything is organized between us. Salvo he is always around, he is very communicative and likes to talk and help with whatever he can. The job consists of tidying the rooms after check out and sometimes we work in the afternoon or we can have the afternoon free. I highly recommend the place! Salvo it was a pleasure, I hope to come back one day!

A wonderful experience! salvo is hard to find people like you, I am so happy that I met you, you are awesome, thanks for everything! well, the hostel is perfect ,the owner Salvo will become into a friend of you. About the work, we clean a lot, don't worry Salvo is also cleaning with you and the other volunteers, those are the first 3 hours of your schedule, and then you have other shift from 3 hours in the reception or organizing the Breakfast. One of the most important things is to be talking to the guests, helping them and having fun with them. Go to Urbanpop and have fun!
