The experience in Bergmansgård was really unforgetable. The snow-covered forest and red cabins look like a fairy tale world, while the rooms are warm and comfortable. The period i stayed there was the restaurant's busiest time of the year, so the main work is in the kitchen as well as some dog walking sometimes.It was a little tired but the good food heals. also I learn to made several swedish dishes. Fridus and Roswitha are very kind and have lots of funny stories to tell. if you love nature,meeting new peoples,or getting new skills and life experience, this is the right place to go!

Fridus and Roswitha are very nice people. Roswitha is a cheerful, kind and easy-going lady. Always has a smile on her face. I also respect her that she is able to stay calm even in very stressful situations. Fridus is also very kind and happy person. He always has many interesting and funny stories to tell to keep the mood up. But the thing, I liked about him the most, was his sense of humor - he always made me smile. They both do their best for you to have the best experience there as possible. I hope I will have the chance to meet them both again (also the cute doggies that they have! :))

I am very grateful of the time I spent there. I met a lot of amazing people. Overall I had a good time, but I had a hard time with the isolation of it a little. But if you are someone who loves nature and connecting with yourself, it is a perfect place to do so. Working could be intense sometimes, mostly around Easter and commutation wasn't always the best. I'm really happy with my experience and am glad I went!

I had a good time here, met some great people and the work was alright. I'm thankful to Rowitha for everything she taught us because it is a stressful job keeping a restaurant open by herself but sometimes the stress had an impact on the atmophere in the restaurant and on all the workers there which was a shame. Other than that I enjoyed staying there, walking the dogs was always fun, I did learn a lot here and I'm greatful to all the wonderful friends I made. I wish Rowitha and Fridus the best, thank you for having us.

I volunteered in Tolvsbo for 4 weeks in December. I was very lucky, because I found a wonderful snowy winter, and walking the dogs in the white woods was a magical experience. Fridus and Roswitha were very welcoming and good teachers, I learned many things in the kitchen, and even though the working hours weren't always respected (in December the restaurant is very busy), they showed a great appreciation for our work. Thank you very much and smaklig måltid!

Amazing! For those who want to experience a once-in-a-lifetime experience, this is the ideal place. From the friendliness of the Hosts to the tenderness of the dogs everything went perfectly with the supposed. Furthermore, all the volunteers with whom I shared different moments were always attentive and friendly. For sure, I would like to repeat this unique experience!!

I've had an amazing month in Tolvsbo with Roswitha & Fridus, all the volunteers I've met and, of course, the amazing 6 cute and nice dogs. I'm so grateful for this unique experience. The surroundings are really beautiful and magical. The main tasks when the restaurant is not open for guests are quite varied. We can help Fridus with outside work and help Roswitha to prepare food in the kitchen. You will learn everything in a few days if you have the desire to learn. The food is delicious. We always have coffee and tea. I had the pleasure of kayaking and cycling on my days off. Tack så mycket!

I've had the most amazing month staying with Roswitha and Fridus! They're lovely people with a lot of patience. The dogs were absolutely adorable and I really enjoyed walking them. The rest of the work was also fun, definitely when I could do it with the other volunteers. I've met great people and felt really welcome in their home :) I've learned a lot about myself and in general and would immediately go back if I could!

I had an amazing month with Roswitha and Fridus! They are very kind and calm people and I'm so grateful for the time we spent together with the other volunteers and of course the dogs! The surrounding forest and the lake is absolutely beautiful and a great place to relax, get in touch with nature and live a simple life. When the restaurant is closed the volunteers mainly help with taking care of their 6 (at the time) dogs, walking them etc. and also helping with small tasks like cooking dinner, preparing things for the restaurant and helping with some outside tasks. Tak for alt!

The experience was very meaningful for me. It's a beautiful,cozy place where I met lovely people and lovely dogs! I think that the work depends on the season you are coming because when the restaurant is open, work is very different and can be a bit more stressful. I came in a season where the restaurant was closed so we cared a lot for the dogs and did some restaurant preparations… besides. What I really appreciated was that we could go in the kitchen take/make food whenever we wanted to so It felt like being home. Altogether was it a nice experience for me, I recommend it!
