The hostel? A surprising and amazing experience! I didn't have any expectations when it came to the city nor the hostel itself but every single discovery in this experience was amazing to say the least. Bare in mind that you're going to a party hostel in one of the most famous nigh-life cities in the world, so this is gonna put you to test if (like me) you're not much of going to party. But is totally worth it to keep an open mind to that aspect, "shifts" are not at all tiresome so you're gonna have plenty of time to recover from party to party. Muchas gracias Mauro, Cami y Marina!

The hostel was an incredible experience! The “shifts” honestly don't feel like working, rather just hanging out with guests & generally having a good time, followed alongside super light tasks. The hostel is extremely social & every day presents itself with someone new to meet, something new to try, and more! If you're looking to meet likeminded travellers, make amazing friends & get to explore Budapest, a thousand percent recommend this hostel to volunteer at! The managers are super helpful, friendly, flexible & really supportive towards the volunteers, Thanks Cami & Mauro!!!

I love the whole experience, amazing people, great place to socialise, and the city itself is super happening. As a first time world packer, this was everything I needed and expected it to be. The shifts are also pretty chill and there's good flexibility for traveling.

I had an amazing experience volunteering at this hostel! Mauro and Marina, the managers, are incredibly warm, welcoming, and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. This is a party hostel, so it's perfect if you like to party and want to connect with people from all around the world. The vibe is very energetic and fun. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the area and enjoy everything it has to offer. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a vibrant and social volunteer experience!

My experience was ok but disappointing. Budapest is beautiful and you have plenty of time to explore the city. Hours are respected and tasks are easy. Volunteer's room sucks, it's missing so many things. No curtains, no stand, no light, the plug is a cable on top of the bed. Honestly embarrassing. Mauro (manager) can be very rude when nervous or in a bad mood. Rodrigo (receptionist) can be very aggressive -especially when drunk- They insist A LOT with asking for 5star reviews. No proper training given. Camila and Marina were always helpful and nice.

Unfortunately, our experience with Oriana did not meet our expectations.
Although she knew she was joining a social/party hostel, she repeatedly refused not only to socialize but even to talk to guests. Being social is a core responsibility, which was not fulfilled.
Additionally, she often tried to minimize effort during her shifts and struggled to get along with most of the volunteer team. Overall, we would not recommend her for a social/party or team-based environment.

Your experience with the hostel truly depends on the people who are volunteering with you. When I got there, it was amazing, and that team set my expectations high. Everyone eventually got replaced and the new volunteers grew quite cliquey:( I felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Elpida, one of the receptionists is hilariously entitled and bratty? Marina and Mauro were amazing and I really enjoyed my shifts while they were working. While the management is great, they do have obvious favourites (people that have been there a long time), and they get prioritized/sided with over the newcomers.

All the staff and volunteers are very welcoming, tasks are really easy and don't take much energy. Environment is amazing you can meet lots of traveler's and make amazing memories. If you are outgoing person this place is for you.

I had the best time volunteering in OneFam!! all the volunteers become like a close group of friends, the receptionists are so very nice and help you with anything, and the work is always communicated and scheduled, and super easy!!! i totally recommend

It was so much fun working at the hostel! The shifts are easy and not that long. Everything will be explained to you at the beginning and if you have any questions you can always ask. They are really respectful with the work schedule, so you're gonna have plenty of time to get to know Budapest. Budapest itself is such a great city, didn't expect that tbh. I met so many amazing people and I got really close to the other volunteers. It felt like a little family :) We created so many funny and great memories I'll never forget! Be prepared for going out a loooot hahah

Such an incredible first volunteer experience. Onefam provides the perfect environment to build strong new connections and have the time of your life. The work is fair & very flexible, and the hostel in general was great. I would recommend this experience to anyone who likes to socialize/go out a lot, or is ready to get out of their comfort zone like I was. I'll never forget the people I met here, big thanks❤️
