If I had to sum up in three words this experience I would use discovery, challenging and hospitality. I have discovered a lot of things talking to volunteers and people from all around the world. I have discovered also a very nice place where you can stay relaxed but amazed for the beauty of the ocean and nature of Alvor, and other places nearby. Then, you do different tasks during the morning, usually from 8 to 1 pm, but no more than 5 hours. Cristina is very welcoming and full of energy and there is a collaborative and friendly group, so I have never felt out of place. Obrigada :)

Amazing experience! I had the opportunity not only to improve my working skills, but also to meet international volunteers with which I shared a lot and learned a lot from. Cristina is really caring and nice and she welcomed me amazingly! The guesthouse is near the beach and is located in the center of Alvor which is a very nice and lively place at any time, afternoon and evening. I enjoyed the experience and the wonderful landscape!

This was my first experience and it was fantastic! We are 6 volunteers and we have to prepare a buffet for breakfast at 8:00 and then we help Cristina to clean, tidy and control check outs and checks in.

La casa fue nuestro primer voluntariado y dejó nuestrsa expectativas muy altas para los próximo voluntariados. Se cumplió con el horario establecido, el trato fue amable y estuvimos cómodas durante nuestra estadía, además logramos conocer gente y llevarnos nuevos amigos. La única crítica que podemos mencionar es que el lugar no cuenta con cocina ni horno para cocinar, sólo microondas.

Es un buen voluntariado. Las tareas son fáciles y generalmente son en la mañana, así que tienes toda la tarde libre para conocer Alvor y sus alrededores. También en mi caso se formó un muy buen ambiente con los voluntarios, lo pasé muy bien ❤️

Cristina and the other employees are all super helpful, friendly, and fun. The other volunteers were incredibly nice and sociable, making for a great experience. Work is not too hard and very flexible. Easy access to the beach, other cities, and boat/kayak adventures.

My experience at the guest house was really good! The work was easy and I had a wonderful time with the other volunteers. At one moment I got the flue unfortunately, but Cristina and her husband were very nice to me: they gave me medicines and I could have some time off from the volunteering. Alvor is also a nice place to stay: it's a cute little town and close to the beach.

Fue mi primera experiencia de voluntariado y salí encantada, el lugar donde me hospede es super acogedor, tienen una terraza muy bonita, la cocina es grande . En cuanto a cristina y su marido me hacían sentir como en casa, las tareas son bastante fáciles, te habla con cariño si no haces algo bien, es una mujer muy activa ajjajjajajaja. También te ofrecen desayuno como dos veces, la gente allí es muy amable y te habla en español portugués e ingles y lo que se propongan.
