The guest house was an incredible first place to try volunteering. I have had many friends do it across the world with different experiences - some loving it, others not finding their place or people. This is definitely a place for those who want to experience nature, growth and introspection. The hosts are clear about their expectations, and go beyond to make it feel more like a home-stay than a hostel. You can do activities with them, and have the most open conversations. The work is mindful and easy to complete in the allotted 4 hours. You'll learn some Spanish but not a ton.

La casa es un lugar increíble para conectar con la naturaleza y desconectarse del ritmo agitado de las ciudades. El lugar tiene una ubicación maravillosa y las horas de trabajo son bastante manejables. 100% recomendado para quienes desean un momento de introspección y relajación :)

This was my first experience as a volunteer, and I am happy it was at the guest house. Axel, Lena, and Thomas were very kind, with Axel being the one who assigned the day's tasks. These tasks were not difficult, and at no point was there any pressure or rush. The tasks included making the beds, cleaning, filling the guest house with firewood brought from a storage shed, and walking the dogs in the evenings. But the work was always done calmly, and the schedules were always respected. During lunch, I really enjoyed the conversations with Axel. The food... delicious!! I would love to come back soon.

My first experience on worldpackers was at the guest house and I can say that it was an amazing and relaxing experience. Dont be afraid of making the beds; at the beginning I didnt enjoy at all, but after 3 days I actually started to enjoy Lena is an absolutely amazing cooker, you're taste buds are going to be really happy there Axel, Efendi, Lena and Marina are all really chill people, you can talk and laugh with them, while also getting some insights about life (if you keep your heart&mind open) - Marina gives incredible massage btw- Go for it and enjoy your spiritual journey! 💛🧚

Maravilloso!he experimentado un contacto con la naturaleza,los animales y las personas,a otro nivel.El hostal es súper bonito en cada detalle,tienes tu intimidad junto a la compañera de voluntariado y puedes hacer tus tareas tranquilamente!esta experiencia me la llevaré en el corazón y la recomiendo totalmente di eres de miente abierta y quieres una conexión más profunda y ir más allá de viajar y visitar!Las comidas de Elena son maravillosas como ella,la compañía de Axel hace todo entretenido y sencillo y el es una inspiración y Fendi es un alma única que te aporta ya solo con su presencia!

I had an amazing experience at the guest house. It was beautiful to be surrounded by lovely people, nature and stay in such an incredible place. The work was enjoyable and fair, delicious lunch provided each day and lovely accomodation. I highly recommend this experience.

My time at the guest house has been so beautiful, and I highly recommend going to Quéntar. I extended my stay and I could extend again. I feel thankful for the open arms and open hearts. Tranquility, Spirituality, Nature, Village, Hiking - are some keywords I'll drop. Maybe it resonates with you. You start the day with „normal“ hostel work from 10-14, plus taking the 2 wonderful dogs out to the mountains in the afternoon. We have lunch together, it is so delicious - wow - and you'll be in lovely company. It's a calm and peaceful place, very wonderful, and I am very thankful. Gracias por todo

Fue una experiencia increíble, muy agradable! Senti mucho amor y paz en el lugar. Se respetaron horarios acordados con una buena comunicación y empatia a la hora de dirigirse a nosotros los voluntarios, se respetaron las comidas y han sido exquisitas!. Es un equipo muy unido y trabajador. Hasta el momento siento que fue el mejor voluntariado, lo más increíble es la naturaleza y el contacto que se tuvo con los animales sin olvidar el impacto social que percibí con personas respetuosas y amables.
