I had a great time at La Comarca! The property is surrounded by beatiful nature and there is a river right next to it where you can go to cool off. What makes the place special is the welcoming athmosphere the host Alex creates. I had a great time with him and the other voluteers and can definetly reccomend everyone who likes to be in nature and meeting new people to come to La Comarca. The tasks themselves and also the workload vary from day to day depending on the amount of guests, wheater etc. Alex leaves room for a lot of flexibility and also creative imput from the voluteers!

Estas 2 semanas en La Comarca serán un hermoso recuerdo. Alex es un gran anfitrión que te hace sentir como en casa. Se respira buena onda y se come muy bien. Las tareas como preparar el desayuno, limpiar las habitaciones y las jacuzzis son fáciles de aprender, y luego puedes ayudar con trabajos de mantenimiento para mejorar el alojamiento. Desde allí, puedes visitar el Parque el alojamiento y muchas otras hermosas playas. He mejorado mi español y me alegra haber conocido a Alex, su familia y los demás voluntarios. Ricomienzo mi viaje con muchos amigos más. Seguro regresaré algún día.

This was the best experience I had with worldpackers so far! Alex is a great host, communicative, and easy going. I felt very welcomed in La Comarca, and a big sense of community specially with other volunteers. The daily activities were easy to learn. We also had freedom to be creative in projects that were not the main tasks.We also ate well, and any work in the kitchen were always with someone else helping. My highlights about the place: *the fireflies every night, nature, collecting eggs from the gallinas (they are the sweetest), and access to the river.I would love to come back some day!

Si buscas un lugar para conectar con la naturaleza lo recomiendo definitivamente, con los voluntarios hicimos un grupo increíble, todos de diferentes nacionalidades colaborando con el proyecto y las tareas de hotel, se creó un ambiente de comunidad muy lindo, hay un río al lado para ir a refrescarse, y hay cascadas muy cerca. Lo disfruté muchísimo, Alex te da la libertad de que puedas aportar con tu arte y tus ideas, muy agradecida por los momentos compartidos y deseo que la Comarca siga creciendo y conectando a muchos viajeros más con la belleza de la costa pacífica de Costa Rica. Although my time here was short, it was amazing and I loved every moment! Alex is such a warm and welcoming host, I felt like I was apart of a little family of volunteers from day 1. The property is beautiful and the river is amazing to cool off and swim in. It is a little far from the beach, but Alex helps the volunteers find days to go with the car. The tasks were fair and manageable everyday. I would really recommend this stay for anyone looking to just exist on some beautiful land with beautiful people!

Fue muy lindo sentirme como en casa después de varios meses de estar viajando. La buena onda y la atención de Alex y su familia son destacables y hacen la estadía muy agradable. Contribuir y pasar tiempo en La Comarca ha sido una experiencia increíblemente positiva. Las tareas son fáciles de realizar, siempre hay alguna cosita por hacer, la cual Alexander siempre está dispuesto a enseñarte. Estar en contacto con la naturaleza es maravilloso pero para mi lo más valioso ha sido el intercambio humano, los vínculos y conexiones que se crean en poquitos días. Te sientes como en casa y sin duda la peor parte para mi, fue la despedida. ❤️❤️

It was my second time in La Comarca, for sure it wasn't the last one. I love everything about this place. From diversity of tasks to the place itself. Alex is an amazing host!! I recommend everyone to come here and experience real life in Costa Rica.
