Great experience. Laura is lovely, very welcoming and kind. House is right on the water which is awesome if you want to swim or occasionally surf. The work isn't too difficult but expect some manual labour.

My experience with Laura was amazing and for sure I won't forget it ! THE DOGS ! they are 4 lovely dogs and each has their unique personality and part of the daily job is to walk with them on the beach 😍 THE BEACH - Laura house is very well placed we have directly access to immense beach which is most of the time empty of people THE JOB - you will never do the same job for 2/3 weeks there diversified tasks some more heavy than others, the advantage is you always work outside and the hours are flexible with Laura you choose when you work. LAURA - Amazing host always here for you !

El hostel fue una bendición para mí vida, es un lugar donde tendrás contacto directo con el mar, luciérnagas, cocos, estrellas, naturaleza y 4 hermosos perritos que son un amor... Laura es muy buena anfitriona ya que es flexible, amable y respetuosa con tigo. Es muy clara y directa a la hora de comunicarte las tareas lo cual es muy bueno, está dispuesta a llevarte a comprar cosas extras que ocupes y se ofrece a ayudarte, honestamente disfrute tu casa y proyecto Laura! Aprendí mucho Te agradezco por la confianza y por haberme dejado convivir con chiquita y tus otros 3 perrunos! Bendiciones

Uno de los viajes mejores en mi vida! Fue muy especial tener esta experiencia con Laura, su familia y otros voluntarios! 4 weeks was the perfect amount of time to adjust to the work, the new roommates, and the dogs ( challenging at times).. the work is different every day and sometimes could be tiring/sweaty (I never did get used to the humidity).. but what an enriching and strengthening experience! This is the perfect place if you're looking to learn Spanish with the sweetest lady in the world, or overcome a fear of the ocean/dogs ! See you next year CCA !

WOWW! Certainly an experience that I will never forgot. Laura was at all times so welcoming, kind, and gracious. Laura is so sweet and truly respects, cares for, and loves people. I was there for 2 weeks and felt like family from start to finish. Laura absolutely loves her dogs so much and it was a blast getting to know each of the pups everyday; as they all have their own unique personality!:) The work was light at times and more physical at other times. I had such a blast!! My favorite part was sitting out on the terrace with the lovely breeze and amazing views of sea! I certainly recommend!

Gratitud es la única palabara que tengo para esta experiencia. Laura es un verdadero encanto, a parte de las buenas conversaciones y lo buen cocinera que es ella es comprensiva, atenta, agradable, colaboradora y mil cosas más. Por otro lado el lugar es maravilloso, la playa está casi siempre vacía y se puede disfrutar un montón. Los perros son muy bonitos. Ha sido mi primera experiencia haciendo voluntariado y ojala sean todas como esta.

I would like to thank Laura from the bottom of my heart for the last 2 weeks! I felt at home and was able to practise a lot of Spanish. If you want to get in touch with nature, the dogs and a traditional and simple lifestyle in Mexico, this is the perfect place! Thank you for everything and see you next time 🫶🏻

We spent 26 days with Laura, the house is right on the sea and there are 4 beautiful dogs to take care of, for the rest Laura asked to do some simple jobs around the house, the days passed very quickly unfortunately but we had the opportunity to get to know Casitas well, during our 2 free days, also visit Tajín which is an hour by bus from the village, there is also the possibility of going down the rapids with a kayak and Laura can provide you with very useful information for your trip to Mexico. An experience you absolutely must try!

We had the best time with Laura in Costa Esmeralda! Laura is amazing, so kind and thoughtful, respectful and open. The 4 dogs are amazing and so much fun. The house is located on the sea side, near a small village where you can actually sea the real life of Mexico. It is perfect if you want to relax and enjoy nature, with big walks on the beach, small manual work outside and an wonderful place to explore. I could not recommend Laura more! Thank you very much :)

Laura is so kind and friendly person, guided me and helped me a lot to finish the project together; very few work and flexible , I love the dogs very much, they are smart and adorable, nice local food and outstanding surfing with Ethan and Mamy , this is my first volunteer job and I learned a lot from it.
