I was really enjoying my stay at Salerno Experience, but I had to leave earlier than agreed (even another volunteer had to leave too because of the uncomfortable situation), due to a violent verbal agression from one of the collaborators to me. I had even had to inform to Worldpackers about that. It was so sad, because I was really liking the experience with Mika and Ignacio, who were always super nice and kind to me! I hope I could at least stay as a guest there, once this man had left the place. The building is so potential and unique!

I am sorry that your rating is based on this one unpleasant situation. To make things clear for other travellers: his agression was caused by u returning loudly few nights in a row, making noice with empty beer bottles when guests were trying to sleep. I am not taking his side as all problems should be solved calmly not by verbal agression, but it seems important to comunicate and not to make one-side conclusions. Anyway he is not part of the colaborators anymore and we hope you'll keep those good memories instead.

Thankyou to Ignacio and Micha for making the experience enjoyable, positive, and instructive!
Tasks are appropriate, and the general ambiance in the hostel is warm and friendly (meeting so many new people was a highlight for me). Salerno is an interesting place to visit, which made the stay worth it!

This experience was ok for me. I met amazing people at the hostel and had great times with them. I would say that this made my experience better.

My experience volunteering in Salerno was great. The hours of work are flexible, what allows you to enjoy the city and the beach, wicth is very close to where the hostel is located. We always cook together and have meals together, what helps to create a very welcoming atmosphere. Ignacio is a very caring host,  so as everyone during my stay. I would totally recommend Salerno Experience to other volunteers

The hostel is located in a beautiful old Palazzo right in the old town of Salerno, is also super close to the beach! 🏖️
Tasks are easy and you can organize time as it suits you best, if the job is done properly it's all good. Ignacio is a great host who makes you feel like home and with Polpetta, his lovely cat 🐈, they both make sure you spend a nice time there.
Can't wait to come back and have a drink at the terrace and enjoy more of there 😀
