The Experience

This is a hands on Permaculture Design Course on an organic farm in Hawaii. The big Island offers 11 of 13 environments; the best agriculture and weather in the world. So come, learn, get dirty with the best of the big island has to offer. The end result will be a certificate in hands on farming! And you get to visit volcano and different parts of the island no one else can offer. Other courses are offered for a fee in Holistic, yoga, surf

My experience with Joe’s Nuts was something I will take with me for the rest of my life! I was lucky enough to be surrounded by an amazing team of volunteers who made the stay as positive as possible, I was able to explore Big Island inside and out and I was able to connect more with the nature and animals around me as I was fully immersed in off grid living. This farm and my time here will not be forgotten.

Working here was such a unique experience! The area is beautiful, and I loved all the animals on the farm. Whenever Diane was going out, she always offered to drop me somewhere so I could see and experience as much as possible during my month on the farm!

My experience in Captain Cook was amazing! Everyone was super welcoming. I really enjoyed learning all about sustainability and organic farming. Playing with all of the animals is something I am really going to miss! The farm is a two mile walk to one of the best snorkel beaches, so there is always something to do! Dee did an amazing job with immersing us into the culture and her life, she really wanted us to get a good feel of the island! Overall I would definitely recommend!
