Susanne and Bob provide a wonderful place to stay and make it so that all feel welcomed and comfortable. Be sure to as questions before arriving. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The animals are great, but be prepared for work in the fields. They truly do provide you with an authentic farm life experience. I recommend this place if you love animals, getting dirty and working with field equipment!

We are clearly a farm and asked if you wanted inside food preparation or cleaning and you asked for outside work we could not control the sun for you. We kept you as clean as we could but difficult with your white shoes and clothes

The lake and green landscape are wonderful. The room facilities are comfortable and food is plentiful. Animals are sweet. However, the variety of activities and the lack of administrative and practical organization leaves us confused. The host is polite, but has another job outside and, the hostess, with many activities, is stressed without conditions of good relationship or organization. I intended to stay 100 days, but I managed to stay only 26.

We worked around Rosanas OCD sometimes stressful not to find items that were being moved around A LOT due to compulsive disorder to organize, but she meant well and thought she was helpful to my wife but we are still trying to find lots of misplaced items.

There was not a compfortable atmosphere in general ... :(

I tried to writing all step by step directions for ALL activities outside the but no instructions were needed for inside cleaning and she seemed happier doing this. I asked my wife to give her simple putside jobs in the garden but my wife wanted her to be happy and asked for her to do more inside the house jobs and keep with just the baby chicks and baby goat feeding as this Seemed to make her happiest. My wife uses google docs, writes lists on the board, on computer etc but language was perhaps the barrier. She even met every chance she could each day to practice English and give a private yoga lesson for her.

Pontos positivos:

We were very clear on need for gloves, proper foot wear, your own clothing. You informed you had a farm in Brazil too and knew chickens etc. we gave you our own gloves and drove you and helped you buy boots. You worked 1/2 of 32 hrs of program so most all day and evening free. Specific detail list on fridge for your checkoff was clear to all
