The Experience

Our teaching organization is placed in Arusha, Tanzania. We are teaching the kids the value of education, the power of the individual and inspiring them to reach for their goals. Our goal is to help the community through educating the kids and youth. We would like to have a lot of volunteers that come down here to help us with our projects. Our main focus right now is teaching the children in Pre & Primary Schools

Kenny is very thoughtful, helpfull and the accommodation was good. Location far from the center but not a problem
For me the only problem was the orphanage. Faraja’s orphanage didn’t seem to be caring for the children and I didn’t feel comfortable there. There are a few good employees there but specially the organization doesn’t seem to care
All the kids were sick and not being treated even with donation. The number of Kids is also not realistic. This and other details were a little off about the place. I would definitely not recommend the orphanage and hope the kids were in a better place

The experience was great overall. When I first arrived there was a miscommunication about some things that were being offered in the website for free but they were actually not available. We talked about it and I offered to help Kenny to update the website which has now the real information for the next ones!
Kenny helped us to get around, get SIM cards and he was always available for any questions.
The kids from the orphanage are very lovely and at the end, you get a lot more then you give, and it doesn’t not matter how much you did!
The kids are happy and they love when new people come!!

Our experience was overall amazing! Delicious traditional homemade food, cosy place to stay and really friendly people who are willing to show you around the city and help you with trips. The orphanage is a very lovely place to spend your time, the kids are really amazing and you fall in love with them immediately. You can really see the difference when you play with them or help the teacher.
Thank you for everything and we would love to come back one day:)

The experience has been bittersweet.
In the orphanage we have felt welcomed and we enjoy the children. Need work and help.
The first week in the house we felt good and like one more but throughout the days it was changing and degenerating. We think they should change things in the profile, they are not true. The transfer is not included, there are no classes, there are no free drinks, there are no discounts (quite the contrary). Kenny's treatment has always been correct but in the end he got upset that we wanted to explore alone and the atmosphere became strange
