Program Details

We are happy to exchange beds and an awesome cultural experience for happy, honest, volunteers who are excited to spend time in this very unique destination. Clarksdale will give you a true small town USA feel.

As long as you put out the effort to explore and meet our neighbors you will quickly become a member of our small town and welcomed. The small downtown has many intimate music venues where locals play and you can learn more about the local Blues culture. Visit the local Blues museum and stores to learn more about the deep history in the area.

Relax at the hostel with plenty of area to spread out. We've got plugs galore and a great area for you to get work or schooling done. Nomads are welcome!

Activities & Shift

We are usually not incredibly busy so its hard to give an exact schedule. Some days there is only a few minutes of work to do (like refreshing bathrooms), others a few hours.

Overall expect duties to include:
*cleaning the rooms and bathrooms
*interacting with guests
*learning our simple check in procedure
*being familiar with the surrounding community so that you can share it with our guests

If there is cleaning to be done, we don't start until around 10.

The owners go out with guests all the time and we expect that you will want to also, since that should be why you are here. Lets setup an interview so we can both discuss this more.

Rules

Honesty is a priority.
