I can't really say anything about the host because I didn't get to interact with them much as it was the peak season time at the hostel and they were always occupied. I tried my best to interact and collaborate with them in anyway possible but I felt zero efforts from their side. From the reviews by the other travelers, I gather that they are much better hosts to international worldpackers traveling solo or in groups. There were no dorms or tent facilities, no common facilities and regular meals, I'm gonna give them the benifit of the doubt that they were busy and renovating.

Abu and the team are helpful and Jaisalmer in general is an amazing city. You can walk easily from hostel to the fort. Overall the ambience in the hostel is peace and calm. Abu is flexible with your time commitment and let's you work in your free time. Because of covid the tourism sector in general and especially this place was hit and I was able to see it clearly. There were not many guests and the place could use some cleaning. There was no wifi when I was here. So who ever comes here must be willing to help the hostel grow and be ready to face challenges

Life and work in Abu Safari is MAMMA MIA! I loved my time with Abu and his staff, I felt as a family and Abu gave me freedom to do things to improve the hostel and showing my opinions. I felt in safe and all the staff was friendly. Drogar is the best cooker and so careful, thank youu! Thank you every single one for this experience!

Abu Jaisalmer needs a lot of help at the hostel to arrange and run things, and needs your help to communicate effectively with foreign guests. It's quite a chilled experience though, and you will have a lot of free time on your hands to explore Jaisalmer. The camel safari was definitely a highlight
