Overall, the Yellow is a great place to volunteer at! It’s a very fun and lively hostel. I was quite unfortunate as I was there when the Corona Virus started spreading in Italy. However, everyone was very supportive and helpful during my stay :)

Yellow is the place that welcomes you AS YOU ARE.
Everything went according to the agreement, and more. Call it work if you want, but for me, the 3-4 days marking on the weekly schedule were just another word for having fun, of course, in a professional but unusual way.
The bar, restaurant, laundry service, gelateria. None of these was built in one day, time was required to build the community based on VALUES
In the end, it doesn't really matter the path you chose to take but the outcome.
I embraced every aspect of this, which is why I'm delighted to have been part of yellow.

I had an amazing experience at the Yellow Square Hostel. The Hostel is like a big family, the staff is super nice and make you will feel very confortable since the beginning. The job in the reception is very simple, I enjoyed it a lot. I highly recommend the Yellow Square, you will love it. If you like to party and meet people from all around the worldnis the best place where you can go . The hostel take care very well of the volunteers, they give yellow credits and with them you can leave almost free in Rome and have a great time. Choose the Yellow, you won’t regret it. Good luck!

I had the most amazing experience at the Yellow hostel. The staff were incredibl and I learnt so much. You can join the amazing experiences on days off such as the pasta cooking class with the amazing Marco who’s as knowledgeable as he is fun. The Yellow tours show you Rome and the credits system means you never go hungry or thirsty and you can even earn more by organising your own events with the guest. Unfortunately due to personal issues I had to finish a bit early but the owners and management were incredible and understanding. I would love to come back in whatever capacity when ready.

Nice people to work with, they are flexible with the hours and reasonable if you need some change. Riccardo is the nicest HR staff member I've worked with. I had to arrive and leave earlier and they agreed on both cases, which made my life easier. You will have fun working here. I wasn't a fan of the appartment volunteers live in (i'd rather live in the hostel), but I understand is the cheapest option for the owners, and there's nothing wrong with the place, except volunteers are in charge of keeping it clean and that doesn't happen haha. Thank you for the opportunity.
