We are an International small Apartment Hostel. All the place is managed by foreigners young active travelers volunteers. You will be a part of our family! We are located between Nyugati and Oktogon in Budapest central area where you can enjoy the city and having fun

This was my first experience as a volunteer and I will be forever thankful to Diego and to the GB Apartments Hostel.The place is a house like apartment,and you can easily feel like home.With a little of organization the shifts were fair and the task could be all done and you can enjoy the city.Diego also helped me with some paperwork I need, and he was always open to hear our ideas to improve the working.I will always recommend this experience and this place,and I'll keep Budapest in my heart.

Its a small and cozy hostel! You can meet people and practice languages! Tasks are very simple and well share w/ other volunteers. If you want to stay and enjoy Budapest in a very amazing place, GB Hostel is the place! If I came back to Budapest, I will stay at this hostel.

My experience at GB Apartments was very bad. The hostel moved locations and did not update the pictures. The new place needs LOTS of work. There is electricity & security problems. The hostel door is always open, once at 1h30 AM one stranger tried to get inside and I asked him to leave, but we don't have keys to the front door, so later on at 2h45 he came back and the next morning the hostel's cellphone was gone. Six days later, Diego the manager accused me to steal and sell the phone and kicked me and other volunteer out by text. Message me if you want more details. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

I stayed in the hostel for 5 weeks, this was my first volunteer stay ever so I didn’t really know what to expect. I was very welcomed in the hostel especially by the other volunteers, we spent a great time together. Diego (the manager) was also very welcoming he always asked if we needed anything and brought the stuff directly, we were able to coordinate our working hours by ourself I thought that was very nice. Also I was able to be there since the beginning even before it opened so I was building beds and painting walls which was very nice we were really included with all the decisions.

We recommend Cosima to anyone. She is very realible and friendly. She did a great job helping and setting up the new hostel location . Always welcome and all the best with your journey and new experiences !

I recommend this experience to anyone who would love to get to know Budapest while working a couple hours everyday. There were 3 volunteers while I was there and we were able to split up the work and take shifts at the hostel waiting for guests to check-in.
